Music can be a 'hook' for EandB

One way to get your kids even more involved in EandB ideas is with music. A couple of songs that I have listened to recently and gone' that's EandB!!!' are:

  • Poverty Line by Good Boy

  • Shutting Down This Town by Jimmy Barnes

The idea is to use a songs as the 'hook' to an E&B topics i.e. play and discuss the lyrics prior to any teaching and learning on the topic. The songs above can be used to start looking at income distribution and unemployment in Year 10 OR Year 11.
